Our Counselors

My name is Kayley
Let's be honest — getting a kid or teenager to agree to therapy is not always easy. But here's what I've learned in my time working with younger clients: when therapy feels like a place where they are genuinely welcomed, heard, and even enjoy spending time, something remarkable happens. They open up. They grow. They heal.
Children, teens, and young adults are my specialty and truly the work I was meant to do — but I also work with adults, couples, and families, because often the most meaningful progress happens when we can support the whole system, not just the individual. Whether I'm working with a seven-year-old managing anxiety, a seventeen-year-old navigating identity, a twenty-seven-year-old healing from trauma, or a couple trying to find their way back to each other, I love meeting people exactly where they are.
My approach is warm, creative, and tailored to each individual. I use Play Therapy and Art Therapy with younger children to help them express what words sometimes can't, I draw from DBT and CBT with older teens and young adults to build practical skills for managing emotions and relationships, and incorporate EMDR across all ages as a powerful tool for processing trauma that has been hard to move past through talk therapy alone. One of the things I love most about EMDR is how well it adapts — it can be modified to meet a child, a teenager, or an adult exactly where they are developmentally.
I am deeply committed to serving clients from all backgrounds, including multicultural communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and neurodivergent clients. My space is affirming, inclusive, and judgment-free — always.
I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and offer a sliding scale fee that is designed to be genuinely accessible, because I believe that financial barriers should never stand between someone and the support they need.

My name is Krista
Hi, I'm Krista. It is no secret that balancing the endless demands of daily life while trying to care for your own mental health can feel incredibly overwhelming. But here is what I have learned in my time as a therapist and a mother: when people give themselves permission to step into a supportive space, transformation truly begins. They heal. They grow. They reclaim their lives. My approach is deeply rooted in warmth, empathy, and a healthy dose of humor, because I believe therapy works best when it feels human, relatable, and even a little uplifting.
Adults navigating life's complex transitions are my specialty and truly the work I was meant to do. Whether I am working with a twenty-two-year-old navigating the stress of early adulthood, a thirty-five-year-old managing the unique, overwhelming demands of parenthood, or a forty-five-year-old breaking free from long-held limiting beliefs, I love meeting clients exactly where they are. I am passionate about helping both men and women overcome anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem issues so they can move toward the life they truly want.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I tailor my care to each individual by drawing from a diverse toolkit of evidence-based therapies. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help clients identify and restructure unhelpful thought patterns. I also incorporate mindfulness-based approaches and somatic techniques to help clients connect with their bodies, manage stress, and build lasting emotional resilience.
I am deeply committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and judgment-free space for clients of all backgrounds. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and offer a sliding scale fee because I firmly believe that financial barriers should never stand between you and the high-quality care you deserve. Whether you are feeling disconnected from yourself or ready for the next level of personal growth, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I look forward to chatting with you!
I am available via telehealth across South Dakota and Washington State. My in-person office is in Mobridge, South Dakota.

My name is Tracy
I've been doing this work for over 20 years — and I still find it meaningful every single day. The people who show up to therapy are dealing with real and heavy things. Anxiety that follows you everywhere. Depression that makes ordinary life feel impossible. Grief or trauma that doesn't care about your schedule and burnout that has gone so far past tired it has started to feel like a personality trait. Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you made it.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — and I'm skeptical of anyone who does. I've trained in CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR and other modalities and I draw from all of it. But knowing a lot of tools only matters if you know which one to reach for and when. We'll figure that out together. And beyond the clinical work, I believe that real change also happens outside of the therapy room — in the way you sleep, move, eat, connect, and take care of yourself day to day. Lifestyle isn't separate from mental health. It's deeply intertwined with it, and I pay attention to the whole picture.
I'm also a trained yoga teacher, which means breath and mindfulness aren't just jargon in my practice — they're tools I genuinely use and believe in. Above all, I value real conversations. The kind where you don't have to filter yourself or figure out the right way to say something.
I care most about helping people feel healthier, find more balance, and build connections that actually sustain them. I accept most major insurance plans and offer a sliding scale for self-pay clients.
